I made it safe and sound to the Horse Thief Campgrounds and got ready to set up my tent. Only I forgot to pack it.

Off to see Mt. Rushmore I guess! I went and walked around a bit. Pretty impressive and I hope to read more about it (more than you find out in grade school) tonight. I grabbed a free pamphlet.

Right now I’m sitting on a curb of a rest stop if sorts. It’s right outside the monument as you’re leaving. That’s where people grab the profile shit if Washington and I’m hoping to do the same. With car lights!

I’m a bit bummed that my initial test with my SB600 lighting up the pine tree didn’t even register. I popped it about 4 times but with a 30 sec exposure, maybe that’s nit enough. I might try and mess with it but the guys should get lit any second now. I really want to shoot this and head back to my camp site. So I can sleep in my car.
