Power Song “Say Hey (I Love You)”
Tonight I finished my first ever 5k, running the whole time. I don’t think ever, in the history that I’ve had legs, I’ve constantly run for over 30 minutes. It was pretty slow and I only started sprinting the last 100 meters (because I didn’t know where the finish line would be) but it’s a start.
I actually feel pretty good. My stomach or side is a bit sore and my legs seem a bit tight but I’m not that bad. I really wish I would’ve started sprinting sooner but yea. Now that I know my “route” for a 5k I’ll be able to nail it down more. I don’t think I’ll ever run longer than a 5k but I sure want to run it faster. (I know, I should just run longer first and then I’ll be able to run it faster but whatever. We’ll see.) :-p
I’ve never been a distance runner. The 400 meter dash was the longest I’ve ever raced so yea. And to think I’ve played soccer since I was literally 3 years old.
